Eastern Michigan Mock Trial
Eastern Michigan University's Mock Trial team has historically been a successful organization and has been an important part of student life on campus ever since its founding in 2001! As a team, it is our goal to not only enjoy the work we put into our organization, but to also produce results that reflect our efforts.
On a team made of attorneys and witnesses, "Mockers" work to portray a criminal or civil legal case in a trial simulation with judges and an opposing team. Our goal as a team is to convince the judge through our performance in trial that our case is stronger than the opposing attorneys'.
By joining Mock Trial, students involved are able to improve their public speaking and presentation skills. Beyond that many of the members of the team are prospective law students. This organization will teach the basics of evidence, procedure, and technique that is taught at the law school level.
